About Bounty & Weave
Founded in Jakarta in 2023, working with weaving techniques that are considerably older than we are.
Why We Started
Indonesian hand weaving has been practised for generations, mostly at the scale of baskets, mats and household objects. The skill was never the limitation. What was missing was someone translating that skill into the language architects and interior designers actually work in: dimensions, specifications, finishes, installation drawings.
That is the gap Bounty & Weave was built to close. We started in 2023 with a straightforward premise. If a weaver can produce a panel of extraordinary texture by hand, there is no reason that panel cannot go on a hotel lobby wall, provided someone does the work of specifying it properly.
We are still a young company and we do not pretend otherwise. What we can offer is direct access to the people making your order, honest timelines, and a willingness to take on the single feature wall that larger suppliers turn away.
How We Work
Hand weaving cannot be compressed without the quality showing it. We give you the real production date before you commit, even when a shorter one would win us the order more easily.
The person who answers your first message follows your project through to installation specifications. There is no account manager layer between you and the workshop.
Our weavers are paid for skilled work, because that is what it is. This is part of why we do not compete on being the cheapest quote you will receive.
If what you want is not achievable in this material, or if another supplier suits your project better, we will tell you. A misplaced order helps neither of us.
The People
Every panel that leaves us was made by someone who learned this craft from the generation before them. A large 3D relief panel can take days of continuous work by a single pair of hands.
That is not a marketing line about heritage. It is the reason our lead times are what they are, and the reason no two panels come out identical.
